Mental Health Care for Adults

West Oaks Hospital provides a variety of treatment options for adults who suffer from a mental health disorder. Our dedicated staff understands the concerns of patients, loved ones and physicians regarding the mental healthcare process, from length of treatment to financial resources.

Adult Treatment Programs

The mental health intensive care unit is for adults who require the highest level of nursing care and crisis intervention. The goal is to help these patients stabilize as quickly as possible.

Inpatient care is for adults who need 24-hour hospitalization. This program focuses on crisis intervention, assessment and medication stabilization.

Dual diagnosis care is for adults who have both acute mental health and chemical dependency issues. This program focuses on mental health stabilization and the 12-step model of outpatient chemical dependency treatment.

Partial hospitalization is for adults who can receive treatment without living at the hospital. The program may be adapted to morning, afternoon and partial weekly treatment to accommodate patients’ schedules.

Intensive outpatient allows adults to attend group therapy during the evening without interruption to their obligations at home and work.
