Mental Health Treatment Programs
West Oaks Hospital provides a broad continuum of treatment programs to children, adolescents and adults who suffer from a mental health disorder, chemical dependency issues or dual diagnosis. Levels of programming include inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and a residential treatment center for chemical dependency rehab.
Treatment is physician-directed and conducted by registered nurses, social workers, therapists, mental health technicians, certified alcohol and drug counselors, and other mental health professionals.
Treatment begins with a no-cost assessment by a nurse and a physician. Based on the results, an individualized treatment plan is developed. Treatment consists of individual and family therapy. Each patient also participates in group therapy specific to their situation. Medication may also be used if necessary.
Family involvement is vital to treatment success and sustained recovery after discharge. We also invite referring professionals to participate in treatment. With patient permission, we continually inform them of treatment progress and refer patients back to the professional for follow-up care.
